Dues Policy - General
In general, the team's policy is that dues are payable in full at the beginning of each session.
Requests to pay session dues on a monthly basis must be made to the Head Coach in writing within the first five days of the session. Only requests based on financial need will be gratned
All new swimmers are entitled to a free two-week trial. Health and medical forms must be completed before the new swimmer may enter the pool.
Financial aid is avilable to qualified applicants. Scholarship applications are available from the Head Coach and must be accompanied by documentation demonstrating financial need or other extenuating circumstances.
Pro-rate Policy for Late Start:
- New swimmers beginning the session one month or more after the start date (Sept. 1, Jan. 1, May 1) are entitled to a reduced fee, prorated for the balance of the session.
- Swimmers returning from a leave of absence beginning the session one month or more after the start date (Sept. 1, Jan. 1, May 1) are entitled to a reduced fee, prorated for the balance of the session.
- Current swimmers (those who swam in the previous session) are not eligible for prorated fees.
Leave of Absence Policy
Swimmers may request a leave of absence/refund of dues if they are going to be out for eight weeks or more.
Requests must be made to the Head Coach in writing within the first ten days of the requested leave period. The swimmer must pay dues for any month during which the swimmer was in the water, and 10% of the dues that either have or would have been paid for the rest of the session.
If the swimmer has been out of the pool more than ten days when the written request is made, for purposes of calculating the refund, the leave will be considered to have started ten days prior to the date the written request is delivered to the Head Coach.
Refunds will be prorated and discounted for the balance of the session. If the leave starts during the first month of a session, the refund will be 90% of the prorated dues for the second and all subsequent months of the session. If the leave starts during the second month of a session, the refund will be 75% of the prorated dues for the third and all subsequent months of the session. If the leave starts during the third month of the session, the refund will be 50% of the prorated dues for any remaining months of the session. No refund will be given if the leave starts in the fourth month of the session or later. At the swimmer's option, the entire prorated dues amount (meaning no discount) may be applied as a credit against that swimmer's dues for the immediately following session.
